    アル・クック　Al Cook

    オーストリア出身のブルース・ギタリストで、1945年2月27日に Alois Kurt Koch で生まれました。首都ウィーンを拠点に活動しています。少年時代に映画で見たエルヴィス・プレスリー( Elvis Presley )に影響され、R&Rを演っていましたが、やがてブルースの虜になり、ブラインド・レモン・ジェファーソン( Blind Lemon Jefferson )、チャーリー・パットン( Charley Patton )、サン・ハウス( Son House )、テキサス・アレキサンダー( Texas Alexander)、ロバート・ジョンソン( Robert Johnson )、トミー・ジョンソン( Tommy Johnson )といった1920年代、30年代の綿花畑の時代のブルースマン達の影響を受けた音楽を作り始めました。1970年に録音を開始し、アルバムは「Victrola Blues」、「Down In Boogie Alley」、「The Country Blues」、「The Birmingham Jam」、「The Barrelhouse Man」などがあります。
