    アーサー・ビッグ・ボーイ・クルーダップ　Arthur Big Boy Crudup

    本名はアーサー・クルーダップ( Arthur Crudup )です。1905年にミシシッピー州フォレストで生まれました。1940年にシカゴへ出てストリート・シンガーとして活動を始め、1941年にブルーバードに「If I Get Lucky」などを初吹き込みしました。エルビス・プレスリーは彼をリアル・ローダウン・ミシシッピー・シンガーだと表現し、その影響下に3曲ほどレコーディングしています。1950年代後半には半ば引退しヴァージニアに住んでいて、1959年にファイアにLP1枚を吹き込んでからは消息不明でした。1967年に再発見され、デルマークにLP2枚をレコーディングしました。その後は白人聴衆の前で演奏活動を行なっていましたが、1974年3月にヴァージニア州ナサワドクスで卒中のため死去しました。
