    ドクター・クレイトン　Doctor Clayton

    1907年にオハイオ州で生まれ、メンフィスで育ちました。本名はピーター・ジョー・クレイトンです。1937年にシカゴに移住し、1935年から1945年までレコーディングをしています。代表作は1941年の「ドクター・クレイトン・ブルース」です。シニカルな歌詞を裏声を交えたシャウト唱法で歌いました。1948年にアルコール中毒によりシカゴで亡くなったと言われています。
