    アール・フッカー　Earl Hooker

    1930年1月15日、ミシシッピー州クラークスデイルに生まれました。従兄弟にジョン・リー・フッカーがいます。1962年にエイジに吹き込んだ「ブルー・ギター」がヒットしました。後日、このレコードをバックにしてマディ・ウォーターズは「ユー・シック・ミー」を吹き込んでいます。多彩な技術と速弾きの華麗さ、それに織り交ぜるロバート・ナイトホーク譲りの単弦でのスライド奏法が特色です。1970年4月21日、心臓麻痺で亡くなりました。
