ガーランド・ジェフリーズ　Garland Jeffreys

アフロ系とプリルトリコ系の混血の歌手で、1943年7月3日にニューヨークのブルックリンで生まれました。1973年に初アルバム「Garland Jeffreys」を発表しました。同年に発売したシングル曲「Wild in the Streets」は、ブルックリンで見聞きした犯罪を題材にした彼の最もよく知られた曲のひとつです。その他のアルバムは、1977年「Ghost Writer」、1978年「One-Eyed Jack」、1979年「American Boy & Girl」、1980年「Escape Artist」、1982年「Rock 'n' Roll Adult」、1983年「Guts For Love」、1992年「Don't Call Me Buckwheat」、1992年「Matador & More...」、1997年「Wildlife Dictionary」、2007年「I'm Alive」、2011年「The King of In Between」、2013年「Truth Serum」などがあります。
