    マーティ・ロビンス　Marty Robbins

    本名はマーティン・デイヴィッド・ロビンソン( Martin David Robinson )です。1925年9月26日にアリゾナ州グレンデールで生まれ育ちました。西部劇風の音楽のヒット作「El Paso」や「White Sports Coat And a Pink Carnation」で知られています。代表アルバムは、1959年「Gunfighter Ballads & Trail Songs」です。本当は柔軟な歌唱力を持っていて、さまざまな曲を歌い分けています。また、彼は俳優、TV司会者、小説家（『The Small Town』を書いた）、ストックカー（改造車）のレーシング・ドライバーとしても活躍しました。1982年12月8日にテネシー州ナッシュヴィルにて死去しました。
