    米国の自作自演歌手で、ベーシストです。ミシェル・リン・ジョンソン( Michelle Lynn Johnson )は、1968年8月29日にドイツのベルリンで生まれ、米国のワシントンD.Cで育ちました。初アルハムは1993年「Plantation Lullabies」です。以降、1996年「Peace Beyond Passion」、1999年「Bitter」、2001年「Cookie: The Anthropological Mixtape」、2003年「Comfort Woman」、2005年「The Spirit Music Jamia: Dance of the Infidel」、2007年「The World Has Made Me the Man of My Dreams」、2009年「Devil's Halo」、2011年「: Weather」、2012年「Pour une Âme Souveraine: A Dedication to Nina Simone」、2014年「Comet, Come to Me」などがあります。
    2014年7月14日、15日に来日公演しました。
