    ロンダ・ヴィンセント　Rhonda Vincent

    ロンダ・リー・ヴィンセント( Rhonda Lea Vincent )は、ブルーグラス系のシンガー・ソングライター、そして多楽器奏者です。1962年7月13日にミズーリ州カークスヴィルで生まれ、近くのグリーントップで育ちました。5歳から家族バンドで歌っていました。このバンドは後にサリー・マウンテン・ショウ( the Sally Mountain Show )として知れました。8歳からマンドリンを弾き始め、すぐに上達するとギターを学びました。後にフィドルをレパートリーに加えました。家族バンドは、1970年代から1980年代初頭にかけて中西部一帯を巡業しました。彼女は1988年にソロとして初アルバム「New Dreams and Sunshine」を発表しました。1990年代に主流のカントリー音楽に滑り込み、ジャイアント・レコードから2枚のアルバムを出しましたが、成功はしませんでした。2000年にブルーグラス音楽に戻り、アルバム「Back Home Again」を発表ました。国際ブルーグラス音楽協会( The International Bluegrass Music Association, [IBMA] )は、2000年から2006年にかけて年間女性ヴォーカリスト賞( Female Vocalist of the Year )を授与しました。また2001年には年間エンターテイナー賞( Entertainer of the Year )を授与しています。アルバムは、1990年「A Dream Come True」、1991年「Bound for Gloryland」、1991年「New Dreams & Sunshine」、1991年「Timeless & True Love」、1993年「Written in the Stars」、1996年「Trouble Free」、2000年「Back Home Again」、2001年「The Storm Still Rages」、2003年「One Step Ahead」、2005年「Ragin' Live」、2006年「All American Bluegrass Girl」、2008年「Good Thing Going」、2009年「Destination Life」、2010年「Taken」、2012年「Sunday Mornin' Singin'」、2014年「Only Me」などがあります。1987年以来、ロンダとヴィンセント一家はミズーリ州クイーン・シティのすぐ西で、サリー・マウンテン・ブルーグラス・フェスティバル( The Sally Mountain Bluegrass Festival )を毎年7月4日頃に開催し、米国や世界中の音楽愛好者を魅了しています。
