テリー・キャリアー　Terry Callier

1945年、シカゴ生まの作詞・作曲者兼歌手です。。同郷のカーティス・メイフィールドとは幼馴染です。ヒット作には恵まれず、1980年代には預けていた娘と同居し、シカゴ大学の事務員をしていました。1990年代になると、ＵＫアシッド・ジャズ～レア・グルーヴ界で再評価され、1998年「Time Peace」で復帰しました。ポール・ウェイラーやべス・ホートンらの尊敬を受けています。代表作は1998年の「Time Peace」、その他「ルッキング・アット」、「トータル・リコール」です。2012年10月17日に喉頭癌のためシカゴで死去しました。67歳でした。
2009年9月15日、16日、18日に来日しました。
