    バーベキュー・ボブ　Barbecue Bob

    本名はロバート・ヒックスです。1902年にジョージア州ウォルトン郡リソニアで生まれました。12弦ギターの独自スタイルによってアタランタで絶大な影響力を持っていました。1927年から30年の間に60曲程度をコロンビアに吹き込んでいます。代表曲は「Mississippi Heavy Water Blues」、「Motherless Chile Blues」です。また、カーリー・ウィーヴァー(g)、バディ・モス(hca)とジョージア・コットン・ピッカーズ( Georgia Cotton Pickers )を組んでいました。最終レコーディングから数ヶ月後に29歳で亡くなりました。
