    クララ・スミス　Clara Smith

    実力のあるクラシック・ブルース歌手ですが、レコード以外には資料がほとんどありません。1995年に南キャロライナ州スパータンバーグで生まれたということですが、これも確かではありません。録音歴は、1923年から32年までの10年間にコロンビアだけに吹き込んでいます。また23年10月と25年9月には､ベッシー・スミスとデュエットしています。彼女もまた大恐慌の時代の中で、忘れられた存在として、1935年にデトロイトで死去しました。
