    ダニー・オキーフ　Danny O'Keefe

    1943年にワシントン州スポーケインで生まれ、ウィナッチで育ちました。家族とミネソタ州セントポールズに引っ越し、1960年半ばに音楽活動を始めました。やがてフォーク・クラブなどで歌いながら、アメリカ各地を放浪の末、シアトルへと辿り着きました。この地でオートバイ事故に遭い、療養している間に曲作りを始めました。ロサンジェルスに移り、キャリオーブに参加し一員として、1966年に初アルバムを吹き込んでいます。その後、1971年にコーティリョンと契約して2作目のアルバム「O'Keefe」を出して注目を集めました。翌1972年に「Good Time Charlie's Got The Blues」がヒット作となり、エルビス・プレスリー( Elvis Presley )やレオン・ラッセル( Leon Russell )、アール・クルー( Earl Klugh )などが追演しました。
