ジェイムズ・カー　James Carr

1942年6月23日にミシシッピー州クラークスデイルで生まれ、小さい時にメンフィスに移り、そこで育ちました。サックス奏者としてゴスペル・グループ、ソウル・スターラーズ( The Soul Stirrers )と契約し、メンフィスのゴールド・ワックス・レコードに所属して活動しました。1966年「You've Got My Mind Messed Up」、「Love Attack」、「Pouring Water On A Drowning Man」、1957年「The Dark End Of The Street」、「A Man Needs A Women」、1966年「That's What I Want To Know」、1968年「Freedom Train」などの曲があります。2001年に死去しました。
