    ロッキー・エリクソン　Roky Erickson

    本名をRoer Kenard Ericksonと言い、1947年7月15日にテキサス州ダラスで生まれました。サイケデリック・ロック・バンド”The 13th Floor Elevators”のフロントマンとして活動しました。1969年に麻薬の不法所持で逮捕され、精神異常者としてRusk州立病院に送られ、1972年まで入院しました。退院後は友人とバンドを結成したり、サンフランシスコで”Roky Erickson and The Aliens”というホラー・ロック・バンドを結成したりしていました。
    ”The 13th Floor Elevators”での初アルバムは「The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators」、2作目「Easter Everywhere」、3作目「Bull of the Woods」があります。
    2015年6月11日、13日に Roky Erickson & The Hounds Of Baskerville 名義での来日公演予定でしたが延期となりました。

    1から3作目までのアルバムに付録を付け足したものです。
    初アルバム「The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators」のライナー・ノーツで、公然と幻覚剤の効用を謳ったため、当局に目を付けられ、テキサス警察はバンドの機器まで分解して薬物の所持検査をしました。
    ジャケット裏には『完全な正気とは何かを追求することが、・・（中略）・・このアルバムに収録された曲の根底にある。』と書かれていました。
