    トニー・ライス　Tony Rice

    1951年6月8日にヴァージニア州ダンヴィルで生まれ、カルフォルニアで育ちました。父の影響でブルーグラスに触れ、兄弟と一緒にケンタッキー・コロネルズ( The Kentucky Colonels )やクラレンス・ホワイト( Clarence White )などから奏法を吸収しました。 70年代以降はロックやジャズの要素を加味して”ニューグラス”と呼ばれる新しい潮流を生み出しました。アルバムは2000年「Unit Of Measure」などがあります。
