ザ・バンド The Band
ロビー・ロバートソン、レヴォン・ヘルム、リック・ダンコ、リチャード・マニュエル、ガース・ハドソンにより結成されました。ホークスとしてロニー・ホーキンスやボブ・ディランのバック・バンドを務めた後、1967年にバンド名をザ・バンドとして、翌68年に「ミュージック・フロム・ビッグ・ピンク」でデビューしました。ザ・バンドは1978年の「ラスト・ワルツ」を最後に活動を停止しましたが、その後、散発的に再編が繰り返され、93年にアルバム「ジェリコ」が発表されています。
